About the role

What you'll do
Backend systems are architected and implemented to power agentic coding workflows and reliable execution for Wolt+ users in 29 countries. Reliability and observability practices are defined and maintained so backend services stay robust for a global audience. Cross-functional collaboration with Mobile, Web, Product, and Data teams aligns subscription experiences across DoorDash and Deliveroo, adapting backend solutions to international complexity. Human-in-the-loop oversight is designed into workflows where AI agents handle end-to-end task loops, replacing manual engineering steps.
Requirements
You have built and shipped software that runs at scale, with strong understanding of testing, observability, reliability, and maintainability in production. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, and several years of hands-on backend development are expected. Daily use of AI tools forms your approach to integrating them into engineering workflows. Clear communication across time zones and easy collaboration with cross-functional partners in a distributed setting are required.
