About the role

What youll do

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines and ETL processes that automate the flow of information between source systems and analytical platforms.
• Conduct thorough data profiling and validation to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data across all connected systems and databases.
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather data requirements and translate those needs into technical specifications and executable solutions.

• Optimize the performance of existing data workflows by refactoring queries, adjusting pipeline configurations, and leveraging best practices in data processing.
• Mentor junior analysts and data specialists on data handling techniques, tool usage, and adherence to organizational data standards.
• Participate in on call rotations to provide timely support for production data issues as they arise during business operations.
• Evaluate emerging data tools and technologies to recommend improvements that align with the strategic goals of the data platform.
• Ensure all data solutions are delivered on schedule and meet the agreed upon specifications and quality benchmarks.

Requirements

• Demonstrate substantial experience with SQL and relational databases including writing complex queries, joins, and optimization techniques.
• Show familiarity with major cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and their respective data services and storage solutions.
• Possess a solid understanding of data warehousing concepts including dimensional modeling, fact and dimension tables, and grain definition.
• Exhibit the ability to work independently on assigned tasks while also contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
• Apply strong problem solving and analytical skills to deconstruct complex business problems into data driven insights.
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure that data transformations and pipelines produce accurate and reliable outputs.
