iOS Engineer
Job description
About the role
You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to ideate, plan, and iteratively deliver new capabilities that define the next generation of member experiences in the WHOOP app. You will own the foundations that power the iOS application, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability for critical features like fitness, sleep, strain, recovery, and deep integrations. You will build and maintain native iOS features using Swift, while coordinating closely with backend services through RESTful APIs and authentication flows. You will contribute to technical planning by breaking down requirements, identifying risks and edge cases, and delivering solutions with guidance from senior engineers. You will partner with product management, design, data science, and performance science to shape polished, member-facing features that align with product goals. You will improve app quality through rigorous testing, debugging, code reviews, and performance monitoring to maintain a high standard of reliability. You will document features and technical decisions to support knowledge sharing and help maintain consistent engineering practices across the team.
