What you'll do
- Oversee the configuration and management of vital HR functionalities, including payroll processing, absence management, time tracking, and the maintenance of core employee data within our Human Resource Information System (HRIS).
- Develop and enhance business processes, including approval workflows, notifications, and custom logic, to streamline and optimize system operations.
- Collaborate closely with the Payroll team to identify and resolve any configuration-related payroll discrepancies, ensuring precise gross-to-net calculations and handling of off-cycle adjustments.
- Maintain and improve the security framework within Workday, focusing on role-based access, domain policies, and integration security to uphold data integrity and compliance standards.
- Analyze the implications of system modifications across various modules, particularly assessing how updates in Human Capital Management (HCM) and security influence payroll, absence, and time data.
- Convert business requirements into actionable system designs, thoroughly documenting all configuration choices made throughout the process.
- Foster strong collaborative relationships with internal teams, acting as a liaison between technical system capabilities and business needs.
- Assist in the deployment of system updates and new features, ensuring effective communication, creating training materials, and enabling user adoption.
- Generate and maintain advanced reporting and dashboards, facilitating large-scale data updates as necessary.
- Actively seek out opportunities to incorporate AI and automation into People Systems workflows, enhancing overall efficiency and effectiveness.
- Investigate and troubleshoot daily system issues, with a focus on identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience as a Workday Business Systems Analyst, showcasing a strong background in system configuration, testing, and implementation.
- Possession of Workday Pro certifications or relevant qualifications in Human Capital Management (HCM), Payroll, Absence, or Time Tracking.
- Proven hands-on experience with Workday Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking (PATT) configuration and design, including the setup of business processes and security measures.
- Comprehensive understanding of Workday Core HCM functionalities.
- Experience in a fast-paced, evolving work environment.
- Familiarity with Workday architecture, security frameworks, and integration methodologies.
- Experience with complete lifecycle Workday implementations or significant expansions of modules.
- A curious and analytical approach, with a desire to understand underlying issues and stay informed about the latest trends in HR technology.
- A creative problem-solving mindset, open to exploring unconventional solutions.
- A strong dedication to data security and privacy in all system configurations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Exceptional attention to detail and robust documentation skills.
- Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities efficiently.

- Familiarity with Workday Prism Analytics, Extend, or advanced reporting functionalities that go beyond standard tools.
