What you'll do

• Design and implement innovative machine learning architectures tailored for real-time processing in autonomous vehicles.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers to integrate machine learning models into the vehicle's software stack.
• Analyze and optimize existing algorithms to improve their performance and reduce latency in decision-making processes.
• Conduct experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of various machine learning techniques in real-world driving scenarios.
• Work with data scientists to curate and preprocess large datasets that are essential for training machine learning models.
• Develop tools and frameworks that facilitate the testing and validation of machine learning systems in simulated environments.

Requirements

• A Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on machine learning or artificial intelligence.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in machine learning, with a strong emphasis on algorithm design and optimization.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java, with a solid understanding of software development principles.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with embedded systems and real-time processing constraints in automotive applications.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in developing machine learning models specifically for autonomous vehicles or robotics.
• Knowledge of computer vision techniques and their application in real-time systems.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and distributed computing frameworks.
• Experience with simulation tools used for testing autonomous systems, such as CARLA or Gazebo.
• Understanding of safety-critical systems and relevant industry standards, such as ISO 26262.
