About the role
The is responsible for leading and scaling a high-performing advisory team based in Mexico City. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to global enterprises, guiding them through rigorous measurement and actionable sustainability strategies. You will own the quality and execution of advisory services delivered through the Watershed platform, ensuring consistency and deep expertise across engagements. This position involves integrating AI into team workflows where appropriate to enhance efficiency and impact. You will help establish an inclusive, high-performance culture within the Mexico City office and the broader organization. The role requires coaching and developing a team of advisors while contributing to strategic direction in partnership with other leaders. You will represent the team in cross-functional discussions and embody Watershed's operating principles as an early leader in Mexico City.

What you'll do
- Orchestrate intake sessions with enterprise clients to clarify scope and data dependencies.
- Design measurement architectures within Watershed that align with CSRD and evolving regulatory requirements.

- Coach and develop a group of 8-10 advisors within a 30-person global team.

Requirements
To be a strong fit for this role, you must meet the following requirements without exception. You should possess 10+ years of professional experience, including 3+ years of demonstrated success managing customer-facing teams with 6 or more people, typically within consulting or B2B SaaS environments. You must demonstrate fluency in written and spoken English for clear communication and documentation. A passion for coaching, hiring, and developing high-performing teams is essential for success in this position. You should bring a customer-obsessed mindset with the ability to set high standards for delivery and guide teams toward those standards. Strong operational skills are required, including comfort with details, data-driven decision-making, and the creation of repeatable processes in fast-growth settings. Experience using AI to improve efficiency and customer impact is a necessary qualification. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required to influence cross-functional peers effectively. You must thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments, with an ownership mindset, curiosity, and bias for action. A passion for solving climate change is mandatory, with preferred expertise in carbon accounting and sustainability topics gained through direct field experience. You must be able to work from an office 4 days per week, with exceptions for remote-designated roles.
