What you'll do
- Formulate and execute intake strategies for aviation programs, ensuring alignment with the studio's overarching commercial objectives and growth targets.
- Lead the conceptual and schematic design of cabin modules, translating abstract ideas into spatial narratives that balance aesthetics, brand identity, and functionality.
- Champion the feasibility of build methods and coordinate closely with engineering and production teams to resolve technical challenges and optimize construction logistics.
- Review and refine all project documentation to guarantee absolute clarity, strict adherence to aviation regulations, and uncompromising compliance with quality standards.
- Orchestrate comprehensive logistics management, including shipping solutions, installation schedules, and the coordination of component delivery to ensure seamless project execution.
- Build and nurture strategic partnerships with suppliers and key stakeholders to secure necessary materials, manage costs, and underpin long-term program stability.
- Translate complex client briefs into compelling and coherent spatial narratives that authentically respond to the unique identity and expectations of each airline partner.
- Coordinate schedules, resources, and cross-functional workflows across multiple concurrent projects to maintain momentum and uphold meticulous attention to detail.

Requirements
- Must possess eight years or more of cumulative experience specifically within aviation interiors or a highly relevant discipline.
- Must demonstrate a documented history of successfully leading complex, multi-phase projects from concept through completion.
- Must have a proven track record of sustained leadership in a professional design environment, managing teams and stakeholders effectively.
- Must exhibit fluency in core design software, creating detailed layouts, sections, and comprehensive documentation that communicate precise intent.
- Must have substantial experience managing profit and loss elements, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial oversight for assigned programs.
- Must possess exceptional communication skills, enabling the clear articulation of ideas and the professional resolution of client concerns at all levels.
- Must be capable of mentoring and guiding junior designers, helping to build a stronger, more capable, and more resilient team.
- Must hold the right to work authorization in the United States, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven Atlanta-based role.

Practical notes
This is a full-time leadership position based in Atlanta, Georgia. The compensation for this role is fixed within the range of $180,000 to $220,000 USD annually. The successful candidate must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
