This role is part of the Verify API team, where you will work on some of the most critical components of our communication infrastructure. The successful candidate will have a strong passion for writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code. You will be expected to take ownership of your work and see tasks through from initial development to final production rollout. The position demands a high level of discipline and the ability to manage your own schedule in a remote work setting. You will be involved in making architectural decisions that impact the reliability and scalability of our services. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential issues before they affect customers.
Because the position is fully remote based in Spain, you will need to be disciplined in managing your time and deliverables without direct supervision. You will work closely with engineers across different time zones, so asynchronous communication and clear documentation are essential. The team values individuals who are eager to learn new technologies and share their knowledge with others. You should be comfortable working in an agile environment where priorities can change based on customer feedback and market demands. The work you do will directly influence the trust customers place in our communication platforms.
The technology stack for this role is modern and cloud-native, requiring familiarity with container orchestration and infrastructure as code practices. You will be responsible for ensuring that the services you build are resilient and can recover quickly from failures. Monitoring and logging will be critical parts of your daily routine, as you will need to diagnose issues quickly and efficiently. The use of Kafka for messaging and Redis for caching will be central to the architecture you will help maintain. You will work with relational and document-based databases to store configuration data and verification records.
This position is ideal for a self-motivated engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will be expected to contribute to technical design discussions and provide constructive feedback during code reviews. The ability to break down complex problems into manageable tasks is essential for success in this role. You will be responsible for writing tests that ensure the correctness of the authentication logic. The role also involves maintaining up-to-date documentation so that new team members can get up to speed quickly.
The company offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support work-life balance and professional growth. These benefits include private medical insurance to cover healthcare needs, a group pension plan for long-term financial security, and life insurance for peace of mind. You will also have access to group personal accident coverage and Ericsson Care Line for confidential emotional support. The flexible time off policy allows you to manage your personal responsibilities effectively, while volunteer time off encourages participation in community service. These benefits reflect the company's commitment to supporting its employees in Spain and around the world.
