Manager, Talent Development Systems
Job description
About the role
This role brings the "say YES" mindset of Execution Operations to scale, owning the systems that connect a 24/7 emergency hospital network. You enable the Talent Development team to support 28 programs across four pillars through a reliable, scalable infrastructure. The focus is on reducing manual work and strengthening operational intelligence so ExOps can evolve without breaking. You will act as the primary systems owner for the end-to-end employee lifecycle, ensuring data integrity and process consistency across all VEG locations. In this capacity, you will translate complex stakeholder needs into clear technical requirements and process maps for the team. You will champion the use of automation and AI to solve repetitive, high-volume challenges that currently rely on manual intervention. The successful candidate will build dashboards and reporting frameworks that provide real-time visibility into talent operations performance. Ultimately, you will be responsible for ensuring that the technology and processes supporting people teams are robust, future-proof, and aligned with the growth of the business.

Typical interview steps
People team interviews usually include a case scenario, a policy question, and behavioral rounds. Candidates may be asked to design an interview process or handle a sensitive employee situation. Confidentiality and judgment are tested throughout. Structured answers with empathy land best. Interviewers often test how you handle sensitive information and disagreement. Framing answers around policy, fairness, and company values works well.
Good to know
Use data and feedback to continuously refine tools, workflows, and automations for a distributed operations team.
Collaboration across functions and locations is central to how technology and learning tools are embedded.
Expect exposure to AI agents and modern automation platforms as part of everyday workflows.
Balance independent ownership with cross-team partnerships to keep the ExOps infrastructure resilient and scalable.
Questions to ask
Worth asking in any interview: how the team measures success, who the role works with daily, what the onboarding looks like, and what the company is trying to achieve this year. Asking what past hires did well is a strong final question. Keep the list short and pick the questions that matter most to you.
