The role builds and maintains automated test cases to support product releases. The role collaborates with scrum teams to instill QA best practices.
Software engineers turn product ideas into working code. Engineers work in small teams, review each other's work, and ship in small batches. Most teams follow agile practices such as sprints and daily standups. Engineers also write tests, fix bugs, and improve performance. The field values clear communication as much as technical skill. Engineers spend part of every week on planning, code review, and debugging, not just writing new code. The ability to explain a technical decision in plain words separates strong engineers from the rest.

What you'll do
Automated testing coverage is expanded through the implementation of new test strategies and capabilities.
AI and ML tooling, such as test generation and defect prediction, is evaluated to improve team velocity and quality coverage.
Test coverage is defined and reviewed in collaboration with the scrum team to instill QA best practices.
Abstract requirements are translated into executable test cases.
Product performance and user experience feedback is provided to stakeholders.
Product documentation and release notes are reviewed and contributed to.
Requirements
7+ years of Software Quality Assurance experience, ideally focused on Financial Technology or a related domain.
Experience working in an Agile environment using tools such as Jira, Bitbucket, and Jenkins.
A foundational understanding of Git and GitHub, including pull requests, branching strategies, and code review workflows.
Experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipeline automation and test workflow orchestration.
Coded UI Automation experience with Selenium WebDriver; Python and Pytest are required.
A working knowledge of a scripting language; experience with Groovy and Ruby on Rails is a plus.
Experience with web service and API testing using tools such as Postman or equivalent.
Performance testing experience with JMeter or Locust.io is a plus.
SQL experience across MSSQL and Postgres is required.
Experience with containerized environments and deployment tooling, including Docker and Gradle.
Familiarity with AI-assisted development and testing tools, such as Claude Code or LLM-based QA tooling, is encouraged.
The ability to operate on a small team in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities is demonstrated.
A positive attitude and a strong desire to learn, grow professionally, and impact company culture and products are demonstrated.
A BS degree in Finance, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience is required; an MSCS is a plus.
