What you'll do
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable infrastructure solutions on cloud platforms, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment process, reducing time to market and improving code quality.
- Collaborate with software development teams to integrate DevOps practices into the software development lifecycle, fostering a culture of collaboration and efficiency.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal user experience.
- Implement security best practices across all stages of the development and deployment processes, safeguarding sensitive data and applications.
- Manage configuration management tools and automate infrastructure provisioning using tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to identify areas for improvement and optimize resource utilization.
- Mentor and guide junior DevOps engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices to elevate the team's overall capabilities.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, recommending innovative solutions to enhance our DevOps processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of applications and services, aligning with business objectives.
- Document processes, configurations, and workflows to maintain clarity and continuity within the team.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for production systems, ensuring rapid response to incidents.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a DevOps or related role, with a proven track record of managing cloud infrastructure.
- Strong proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with hands-on experience in deploying and managing applications.
- Extensive knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI, with a focus on automation and efficiency.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
- Solid understanding of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and process improvement.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools, including Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- A proactive mindset, with a passion for continuous learning and improvement in DevOps practices.
Nice to have
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) practices, particularly using Terraform.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
- Previous experience in a leadership role or mentoring junior team members.
- Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Solutions Expert) would be advantageous.
