This role is situated within the Automation Engineering team, which is responsible for enabling seamless software releases for all Vault customers. Vault is a cloud-based development platform designed to manage documents and related data while automating organizational workflows. Applications built on Vault benefit from a single source of truth, providing complete visibility and enhanced compliance on a unified cloud platform. The engineer will contribute to maintaining the quality and reliability of this critical platform.

Key Responsibilities

You will design the foundational steps for test data intake, ensuring that automated pipelines accept only valid and appropriate cases. The role involves constructing modular build components capable of executing checks across multiple browsers and computing environments with high reliability. You will review verification outcomes to confirm that system behavior adheres to stringent and specific requirements. Delivering validation packages that successfully pass predefined quality gates is essential before new customer features are released. Collaboration with cross-functional partners will be necessary to align test strategies with upcoming platform development roadmaps. A significant portion of the work involves automating repetitive verification tasks, thereby allowing engineering teams to concentrate on complex and edge-case scenarios. Maintaining clear documentation for test procedures ensures that workflows remain transparent and traceable over time. You will also be responsible for maintaining test scripts so they adapt efficiently to new platform features without requiring constant manual intervention.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must possess three years of direct hands-on experience writing test automation code. Proficiency in programming languages commonly used for automation purposes is mandatory for every applicant. The ability to analyze technical requirements and translate them into concrete, executable test cases is essential. Comfort with cloud-based services and contemporary software development workflows is required. A solid understanding of version control practices and participation in collaborative engineering cultures is non-negotiable.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience working within life sciences sectors or regulated industries is considered a strong advantage. Familiarity with continuous integration tools and modern testing frameworks is also preferred.

Technical Expertise

The successful candidate will utilize a specific set of tools and technologies. These include Java, JavaScript, REST APIs, and SQL for database interactions. Version control will be managed through Git, with Jenkins serving as the primary continuous integration server. The operating environment is predominantly Linux, and frameworks such as Selenium and TestNG will be used for test execution.
