Design System/UX Engineer
Job description
Design System/UX Engineer at Ttec Digital.
About the role
Ttec Digital is actively searching for a Design System/UX Engineer to join our internal innovation group and help define the future of AI customer experience tools. You will function as a builder within a startup-like environment that leverages the stability and scale of a public company founded in 1982. This role is centered on the delivery of functional software that is intended to serve large-scale enterprise deployments globally. You will be responsible for ensuring that the design system is not merely a set of guidelines but a living, breathing engine for production-grade applications. A significant portion of your work will involve moving directly from concept to deployed interface without getting trapped in endless documentation loops. You will collaborate closely with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to ensure the user experience is technically feasible and visually consistent. The successful candidate will be expected to own the entire lifecycle of UI components, from initial design token implementation to final performance optimization in the browser. Your daily work will directly influence the quality of AI interactions that millions of end-users experience through our enterprise products.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Architect and maintain a scalable design system that serves as the single source of truth for enterprise AI interfaces.
- Engineer reusable UI components using modern frontend frameworks to ensure consistency and speed across product teams.
- Develop automated quality assurance scripts that validate visual regressions and functional behavior of design system elements.
- Build conversational analytics dashboards that provide insight into how users interact with AI-driven customer experiences.
- Create knowledge assist tools that empower support agents to resolve queries faster through intelligent interface patterns.
- Implement agentic automation software interfaces that allow AI agents to interact with backend systems on behalf of enterprise users.
- Translate ambiguous product requirements into concrete user flows and interactive prototypes that validate design hypotheses quickly.
- Write functional, production-ready code that prioritizes performance, accessibility, and long-term maintainability over quick hacks.
- Partner with global enterprise brands to deploy software solutions that operate reliably across thousands of live environments.
- Conduct technical spikes to evaluate new frontend tools, libraries, and infrastructure that can improve the efficiency of the design system.
- Define and enforce design tokens, component variants, and style guides that enable rapid experimentation without sacrificing cohesion.
- Optimize frontend performance metrics to ensure that AI customer experiences load instantly and respond without delay.
- Document architectural decisions and component APIs in code, aiming to make the system intuitive for new consumers and contributors.
- Act as a bridge between design and engineering teams to ensure that the implemented experience matches the intended design vision.
Requirements
- You must be able to function as a self-starter with a startup mindset, taking ownership of problems without needing constant direction.
- You should prefer building software directly rather than spending time creating presentation slides or speculative mockups.
- You must have experience working in high-growth or fast-paced technical environments where priorities shift quickly.
- You need to focus on delivering tangible results that impact company performance, product value, and customer satisfaction.
- You must be comfortable working with design systems, component libraries, and frontend architecture at scale.
- You should have a strong understanding of user-centered design principles and how they translate into technical constraints.
- You must have hands-on experience with modern JavaScript frameworks commonly used in enterprise software.
- You should understand the fundamentals of conversational UI patterns and how they affect user expectations and workflows.
