- Manage inventory levels of fabrics and materials, ensuring that stock is maintained efficiently to meet production timelines.
- Work closely with the production team to address any fabric-related issues that arise during the manufacturing process, providing solutions to minimize delays.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive fabric library that includes detailed information on fabric characteristics, care instructions, and sourcing details.
- Organize and lead fabric presentations for internal stakeholders, educating teams on the benefits and applications of various materials.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor offerings to inform Tnuck's fabric strategy and maintain a competitive edge.
- Implement sustainability practices in fabric sourcing and selection, promoting eco-friendly materials and processes.
- Collaborate with the merchandising team to ensure that fabric choices align with market demands and customer preferences.
- Prepare and manage budgets related to fabric sourcing and procurement, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Textile Science, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in fabric sourcing, textile management, or a similar role within the fashion industry.
- Strong understanding of fabric properties, production processes, and sustainability practices in textiles.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and manufacturers.
- Strong analytical skills to assess fabric quality and performance metrics effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with fabric management software or PLM systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
