This is a permanent, full-time position based in Lisbon, requiring partial onsite presence.
Senior Software Engineers specialising in Infrastructure are responsible for the deployment and maintenance of our advanced software ecosystem. They develop tools and establish integrations with third-party infrastructure components essential for our clients' operations. The role involves creating automation frameworks that simplify deployment procedures and manage data and streaming platforms. This position also focuses on building intuitive interfaces for infrastructure management tools used by engineers and support teams. You will own the design and implementation of critical infrastructure components that power our cloud native banking platform. Your work will directly influence the scalability and reliability of systems used by financial institutions worldwide. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into resilient technical solutions. This role requires a proactive approach to solving complex infrastructure challenges in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll do
Collaborate with engineering teams to construct dependable, scalable applications.
Design and develop tools that enhance service scalability and availability through automation.
Create observability and orchestration solutions to enable performance monitoring and deployment management.
Contribute to the enhancement of disaster recovery, backup protocols, and redundancy strategies.
Improve codebase integrity by developing new tools and operational processes.
Implement infrastructure as code practices to ensure consistent and repeatable deployments.
Analyse system performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and drive optimisation initiatives.
Coordinate with product and operations teams to align infrastructure roadmaps with business objectives.
Develop and maintain interfaces that simplify infrastructure interactions for developers and support staff.
Ensure that infrastructure components comply with security standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
Possess a qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Demonstrate hands-on experience spanning several years in infrastructure development.
Proficiency in Python or Golang for creating production-grade infrastructure management tools.
Familiarity with observability solutions such as monitoring frameworks.
Understanding of database systems within high-volume transactional contexts.
Experience with event streaming technologies in operational settings.
Competency in container orchestration platforms.
Knowledge of major cloud service providers.
Experience with continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment that values diverse perspectives.
