You will architect and own the end to end sales journey for the largest banks across the Asia Pacific region, translating their complex transformation agendas into a compelling vision for modern core banking. You will own the commercial outcomes and strategic direction of your portfolio, driving sustainable growth and long term partnerships that define the success of Thought Machine in Tier 1 institutions. This role demands a leader who can synthesise intricate regulatory and business challenges into clear, high value narratives for executive audiences. You will collaborate intimately with product, engineering, and strategy to ensure our solutions remain tightly aligned with the evolving needs of the market. Your work will directly influence the trajectory of the company by establishing durable, high value relationships at the heart of the banking ecosystem. You will be responsible for building a resilient pipeline that de risks major sales cycles and positions Thought Machine as the inevitable choice for modernisation. Ultimately, you will be the trusted advisor that guides these critical institutions through their most significant technology transformations.

What you'll do
Formulate and execute a comprehensive Tier 1 banking sales strategy for the APAC region that aligns with company objectives.
Champion and articulate the Thought Machine vision to executive sponsors, steering committees, and influential decision makers within target banks.
Develop sophisticated, insight led proposals that directly confront the strategic priorities and critical pain points of Tier 1 financial institutions.
Cultivate and manage multi layered relationships, ensuring you engage sponsors, influencers, and operational leaders to build consensus and momentum.
Consistently surpass annual APAC sales targets for software licensing and professional services contracts within the Tier 1 segment.
Orchestrate cross functional collaboration with product, engineering, and strategy teams to design and deliver highly targeted campaigns for key financial institutions.
Generate and qualify new pipeline opportunities while rigorously prioritising high probability deals and nurturing long term strategic engagements.
Analyse and interpret the specific challenges, regulatory landscapes, and transformation roadmaps facing Tier 1 banks to tailor relevant solutions.
Build and govern a Tier 1 banking focused APAC sales plan that drives sustainable growth and reinforces Thought Machine's market leadership.
Leverage data and commercial insight to forecast performance, identify blockers, and implement corrective actions to ensure predictable revenue outcomes.
Act as the primary commercial leader for major accounts, owning the end to end sales process from discovery through to contract finalisation and expansion.
Represent Thought Machine at the highest industry forums, shaping the narrative around modern banking infrastructure and cloud native transformation.
Continuously refine sales methodologies and playbooks based on market feedback, competitive activity, and evolving customer expectations.
Champion the company values of ambition, excellence, and collaboration to build a high performance sales culture within the APAC region.
Requirements
You must possess fluency in Mandarin, Cantonese, or Bahasa to effectively communicate and build trust with senior stakeholders.
You must demonstrate extensive experience selling complex enterprise software into large scale, mission critical environments.
You must have a proven track record of selling into Tier 1 banks and navigating their intricate stakeholder ecosystems.
You must be adept at managing the complexity of Tier 1 bank organisations, including diverse stakeholders and budget holders.
You must exhibit a high level of commercial acumen and the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
You must be comfortable operating in a fast paced, dynamic environment where priorities evolve rapidly.
You must hold a strong results orientation, with the discipline to manage multiple concurrent sales cycles and deliver against ambitious targets.
You must be capable of leading and mentoring junior sales team members, setting an example through your professional presence.
You must be willing to travel within the APAC region to support key accounts and participate in industry events.
