What you'll do

• Manage features from initial user requirements through design, deployment, and ongoing support, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Develop full-stack web applications while making practical architectural choices that balance performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Utilize AI coding agents for scaffolding and research, ensuring all output is reviewed and verified to meet our quality and security standards.
• Oversee the entire development lifecycle, including testing, debugging, and integration, to deliver robust and reliable software.
• Lead code reviews and mentor junior team members to improve overall quality, consistency, and knowledge sharing across the engineering organization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project milestones, clarify requirements, and manage technical risks throughout the delivery process.
• Contribute to the long-term engineering roadmap and team processes, helping to establish best practices and standards for future work.
• Evaluate new tools, frameworks, and methodologies, determining their potential value for our technology stack and adoption strategy.
• Write and maintain comprehensive documentation that supports both current implementation details and long-term architectural decisions.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response activities to ensure timely resolution of production issues and minimal downtime.
• Partner with product and design teams to translate user needs into technical specifications that can be implemented effectively.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning by experimenting with new approaches and sharing insights gained from successes and failures.

Requirements

• 5 to 7+ years of experience in software development with a history of owning projects from start to finish, demonstrating accountability and follow-through.
• Proficiency in using AI development tools and coding agents with the discipline to validate all generated code, ensuring correctness and security.
• Strong product focus with the ability to prioritize user needs and functional outcomes, making decisions that maximize business value.
• Deep understanding of software architecture, testing, continuous integration, and containerization, with evidence of applying these concepts in real projects.
• Ability to adapt to new languages and frameworks as needed, showing willingness to learn and apply technologies outside your primary expertise.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and technical documentation, with clear and concise written expression.
• Experience working in United States-based roles, understanding the expectations associated with full-time employment in this region.
• Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple responsibilities and competing deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and high-quality output.
