Forge strong relationships with product managers and stakeholders to align technical decisions with business objectives, as practiced when working with clients like Qonto, Doctolib, Carrefour, Pernod Ricard, Les Mousquetaires, Urgo, Cdiscount, and Edenred.
Break down legacy monoliths into modern, maintainable services using strategies like strangler Fig patterns, following Theodo's methodology for successful legacy modernization.
Monitor application performance in production to anticipate issues and drive data-informed improvements, ensuring delivery acceleration as measured by Theodo's 3x faster delivery metric.
Support the professional growth of engineers through pair programming, mentorship, and tailored learning paths, echoing Theodo's commitment to upskilling more than 850 engineers.
Ensure all technical documentation is living, accurate, and accessible to the entire team, maintaining clarity across the squad.
Evaluate and select tools and frameworks that provide the best balance of productivity, stability, and ecosystem health, consistent with Theodo's technology expertise.
Coordinate sprint planning and refinement sessions to maintain a realistic and valuable backlog, adapting methodologies learned from Theodo's engagement with diverse clients.
Act as the primary point of technical contact for the client throughout the project lifecycle, representing Theodo's standard of excellence.
Requirements
You possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
You bring 5 to 8 years of professional experience in software development across diverse stacks, reflecting Theodo's expectation of experienced engineers.
You have a proven track record of leading technical projects from conception through to successful delivery, as Theodo handles mission-critical projects for large groups and scale-ups.
You demonstrate mastery of at least one modern programming language such as JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python, aligning with Theodo's engineering culture.
You have hands-on experience with containerization technologies, particularly Docker, and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes, essential for modern architectures at Theodo.
You understand database design and can work effectively with both relational and NoSQL data stores, given the varied contexts of clients such as health, finance, and public sectors.
You are fluent in reading and creating technical documentation and architecture diagrams, a necessity when collaborating with teams across France and Europe.
You communicate clearly and confidently in English, both in writing and during discussions, to interface with international clients and teams.
