About the role
You will own the end to end execution of AIT activities for The Exploration Company lunar lander projects from setup through final delivery. You will define and implement robust AIT processes that bring structure and clarity to every phase of development. You will lead and directly support engineers and technicians in the execution of assembly, integration, and testing operations. You will interface closely with design and program teams to ensure decisions align with cost and schedule efficiency. You will drive the resolution of anomalies during integration and testing and manage reporting to keep stakeholders fully informed. You will lead the design, procurement, and support of the specific Ground Support Equipment required for these missions. You will define the budget for means and people required to deliver the lunar lander safely and on schedule.

What you'll do
Define and implement AIT processes and standards for The Exploration Company lunar lander programs.
Lead the setup and operation of test facilities, including in the UAE, ensuring safe and efficient execution.
Prepare, execute, and manage the assembly, integration, and testing of lunar lander modules and systems.
Own the budget definition for means and personnel required to deliver AIT activities effectively.
Interface with design and program teams to enable cost and time effective design decisions.
Write detailed AIT plans, procedure lists, and operational documentation to guide execution.
Perform risk assessment and lead mitigation actions for AIT activities and associated equipment.
Manage the resolution of anomalies that arise during integration and test campaigns.
Lead the design and procurement of custom Ground Support Equipment, including internally designed systems.
Support the purchase of all COTS and non-COTS equipment needed for AIT activities.
Manage the hiring and coordination of engineers and technicians required for AIT operations.
Prepare and deliver reports and documentation at the conclusion of operations and tests.
Provide feedback on blockages and problems encountered during AIT and propose corrective actions.
Lead the setup and organization of the AIT team and integration hall in the UAE location.
Communicate status, issues, and decisions clearly to all levels of the organization.
Requirements
Hold an advanced engineering degree such as a Master or PhD in a relevant discipline.
Bring 10+ years of experience in the aerospace sector with a clear focus on executing late-stage projects.
Possess 10+ years of hands-on experience in the AIT of aerospace vehicles and related campaigns.
Have direct experience in setting up AIT facilities and managing their operational readiness.
Be highly organized and rigorous in approach, with strong attention to detail and documentation.
Have a hands-on approach and the ability to work practically through complex technical challenges.
Be inventive, a strong problem solver, and a collaborative team player.
Demonstrate leadership skills that inspire and guide technical teams toward shared objectives.
Show strong organizing and prioritization of tasks to meet demanding project timelines.
Maintain a positive and flexible attitude to deliver results in dynamic and challenging environments.

Nice to have
Experience working in the space sector on orbital or planetary missions.
Familiarity with modular space vehicles and in orbit servicing or refueling concepts.
Knowledge of relevant European regulations and standards applicable to space operations.
Experience managing international teams and cross site collaboration.
Practical notes
This is a full time position based in Bordeaux, France with potential work assignments and travel to the UAE as required for project activities. Candidates must be eligible to work in France and comply with local employment regulations. Travel requirements and associated visas will be managed in accordance with company policy and local laws.
