About the role

This role produces video and audio content for local news, sports, and feature coverage. The role also edits finished stories and participates in live broadcasts when necessary. You will own the visual and audio quality of every story you shoot, ensuring that each piece meets strict editorial and technical standards before it reaches the audience. You are responsible for capturing compelling imagery that tells the story clearly and efficiently, using your judgment to prioritize shots and angles in fast-moving situations. You will collaborate closely with reporters and producers to ensure that the audio and video elements align with the narrative of the story. This position requires you to maintain the equipment you use, ensuring cameras, audio gear, and ENG vehicles are ready for immediate deployment. You will exercise discretion when editing footage, making creative decisions that enhance the viewer experience while staying true to the facts. Ultimately, you own the end-to-end creation of content that informs and engages the community served by the station.

Requirements
