Associate Principal
Job description
About the role
You will lead small- to mid-scale, multi-discipline projects with growing independence while applying strong engineering judgment to clarify requirements and coordinate design. You will guide projects from programming through closeout, documenting decisions and ensuring deliverables meet TEECOM's standards for quality and constructability. You will maintain alignment with scope, schedule, and budget, surfacing risks early to keep projects on track and stakeholders informed. You will strengthen the TEECOM system by contributing to GitHub, documenting client-specific nuances, and improving standards, tools, and workflows for future teams. You will cultivate strong client relationships externally, building trust through clear communication, reliable follow-through, and thoughtful problem-solving. You will begin developing credibility through thought-leadership activities, supporting pursuits, contributing technical narratives, participating in interviews, and helping develop content such as blogs, white papers, or presentations. You will mentor Designers and engineers internally through hands-on guidance, reviews, and feedback that strengthen discipline capability and reinforce TEECOM's standards. While not a people manager, you will play a key role in developing TEECOM's talent and reinforcing disciplined engineering practices across project teams.

Develop detailed system and assembly drawings, specifications, and construction documents that balance design intent with constructability and cost targets.
Coordinate with discipline leads and external consultants to resolve interface conditions, validate assumptions, and ensure integrated project delivery.
Perform constructability reviews and quality checks, identifying potential issues before they escalate and driving resolutions that protect schedule and budget.
Create and maintain client-facing documentation, including presentations, reports, and narrative content that clearly communicates technical decisions and project status.
Support business development pursuits by developing technical narratives, responses to RFPs, and project conceptualizations that position TEECOM as a trusted advisor.
Contribute to GitHub repositories, updating tools, scripts, and documentation that enhance team efficiency and knowledge sharing across the organization.
Document client-specific nuances, standards, and lessons learned in accessible formats that support reuse and continuous improvement for future projects.

Represent TEECOM in external discussions, ensuring communications reflect professionalism, clarity, and alignment with project objectives and values.
Track project metrics related to quality, schedule, and budget, using insights to recommend adjustments that improve delivery performance.
Support the development of thought-leadership content, including blogs, white papers, and presentations that showcase TEECOM's expertise and industry perspective.
Act as a technical liaison between project teams and stakeholders, facilitating discussions that resolve issues and align expectations effectively.
