What you'll do

Coordinate with owners, engineers, contractors, and regulatory agencies to oversee marine, structural, geotechnical, and utility work for a major waterfront program.

Administer contracts and manage public-sector procurement processes to ensure compliance with complex documentation and regulatory requirements.

Develop and control detailed CPM schedules to track project progress and align multiple concurrent construction activities.

Implement QA/QC protocols and oversee inspection regimes to maintain rigorous quality and safety standards on site.

Manage project risks by identifying issues early, developing mitigation plans, and tracking resolution through established escalation paths.

Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including records, reports, and communications, to support decision-making and audits.

Lead stakeholder engagement with agencies such as NYCEDC, NYCDDC, NYCDOT, NYSDOT, MTA, and the Port Authority of NY & NJ.

Apply strong analytical skills to interpret data, solve problems, and optimize workflows in a dynamic construction environment.

Ensure adherence to construction safety standards, including OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification requirements for all site activities.

Support continuous improvement by documenting processes, identifying inefficiencies, and recommending enhancements for future projects.

Requirements

Earning a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Geotechnical, Construction Engineering, or a related field is mandatory for this position.

Holding an OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification is required to satisfy site safety compliance standards.

Accumulating 10+ years of project or construction management experience, including 5+ years leading projects of similar size and complexity, is required.

Demonstrating experience with marine, waterfront, structural, geotechnical, and heavy civil infrastructure projects is required.

Showing proven leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills enables effective team and agency interactions.

Preferring experience with agencies such as NYCEDC, NYCDDC, NYCDOT, NYSDOT, MTA, Port Authority of NY & NJ reflects public-sector engagement.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel locally as project needs require is expected for this role.
