About the role
Tanium is seeking a Director of Product Management to oversee the data platform, cloud, and SaaS architecture. You will define the end-to-end strategy for how the platform handles data storage, movement, querying, and visualization while collaborating across engineering and design teams.

What you'll do
- Manage the product strategy and roadmap for the cloud and SaaS data platform from initial concept to launch.
- Determine the long-term architectural direction for data access, storage, and movement.
- Coordinate with product, engineering, and design leadership to ensure alignment across multiple pods.
- Guide the product direction for data presentation within Atlas and the user interface to improve reliability and customer trust.
- Develop strategies for data exchange, including import and export capabilities across the platform.
- Define success metrics, business logic, and technical requirements for platform features.
- Work with engineering leadership to make architectural decisions for distributed cloud systems.
- Prioritize data quality and consistency throughout the entire data lifecycle.
- Assist internal teams with training and launch materials to support feature adoption.
- Engage with go-to-market and customer-facing teams to identify product differentiation opportunities.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree required.
- Significant product management experience in an enterprise B2B setting, specifically within SaaS, cloud, data platform, infrastructure, or security sectors.
- Proven ability to lead product strategy for complex, large-scale technical platforms.
- Technical proficiency in cloud and SaaS architectures, including working knowledge of AWS or Azure.
- Experience with data platform components such as storage, query layers, visualization, data movement, or governance.
- Background working with distributed systems rather than monolithic applications.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders horizontally across an organization.
- Experience in people leadership, including building teams.
- Ability to manage through ambiguity and quickly adapt to new technical domains.
Nice to have
- MA/MS or equivalent advanced technical or business degree.
- Experience with graph databases or graph-based data models.
- Experience with large-scale analytics platforms or enterprise visualization tools.
- Multi-cloud depth across Azure and AWS.
- Experience building durable integration patterns for enterprise products.
- Background in managing managers.
