Senior Implementation Manager, Education Technology
Job description
Technology Planning and Implementation Lead at Success Academy Charter Schools.
About the role
The role defines and drives a multiyear migration of academic technology across a large public charter network. It connects business objectives, technical constraints, and educator needs into one coherent program. You will own the end-to-end planning and execution of technology adoption initiatives that impact thousands of educators and students. This position requires you to act as the central nervous system between technical teams, school leaders, and classroom practitioners. You will be responsible for ensuring that complex system changes happen smoothly without disrupting daily school operations. Your work will directly influence how effectively educators can teach and how students engage with digital learning tools. You will build and maintain a clear, shared understanding of scope, timelines, and risks across the entire network. Success in this role will be measured by the steady, sustainable improvement of learning outcomes through thoughtful technology integration.
Key facts
What you'll do
Maintain a current, comprehensive view of program scope, risks, and stakeholder constraints across business, technology, and school operations.
Ensure decisions in each workstream consider the realities and limits of other contexts, preventing local optimization at the expense of the whole program.
Surface misalignment early and drive resolution before issues escalate into execution problems that delay critical launches.
Translate what you learn into practical insight that shapes planning, pilot design, and communication strategies for diverse audiences.
Ground release sequencing and pilot designs in real user experience rather than only theoretical performance metrics and assumptions.
Embed lessons from every release into the next phase so the program continuously improves its effectiveness and efficiency.
Run communication rhythms that keep senior leadership and stakeholders oriented during a long, complex program with many moving parts.
Sustain momentum across a long, multi‑stakeholder initiative in a high‑growth environment where priorities can shift quickly.
Partner with schooling and institute teams on school‑facing adoption strategies, including tool introduction, training design, readiness assessment, and problem resolution.
Adjust rollout pace and structure based on direct feedback from schools, ensuring the technology serves their needs rather than forcing change for its own sake.
Requirements
You are a natural integrator who instinctively connects disparate information, identifies tensions, and resolves them before they become issues that halt progress.
You deeply understand how products actually work and seek end‑user perspectives because you are genuinely curious, not because it is a checkbox on a project plan.
You have owned outcomes in complex, cross‑functional environments where no clear playbook exists and you had to create your own path forward.
You have startup or high‑growth experience and operate comfortably without rigid institutional scaffolding that slows down execution.
You communicate clearly in writing and speaking, can lead sharp meetings, present to skeptical stakeholders, and handle hard conversations with professionalism.
You read rooms accurately, navigate competing interests, and keep momentum while managing political dynamics that could derail important work.
You identify necessary work and do it without waiting for explicit instructions, taking ownership of gaps that others might ignore.
You have 8-12 years of total professional experience, with at least 4-5 years owning complex cross‑functional implementations with organizational stakes that affect many people.
You have a track record of integrating technical, business, and user‑facing workstreams to drive better decisions and more coherent outcomes.
You have operated at the intersection of technology and business, translating constraints and possibilities between technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
You actively seek and incorporate end‑user feedback into decisions and designs, ensuring that the people who use the technology are heard.
Experience in fast‑moving media, publishing, content platforms, or EdTech is relevant; a K-12 background is a plus but not required for this position.
