What you'll do
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency of legal operations, ensuring alignment with the company's goals.
- Manage the legal department's budget, including forecasting and tracking expenses to ensure financial accountability.
- Oversee the selection and management of external legal service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with service level agreements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address legal needs, providing guidance on compliance and risk management.
- Implement and maintain legal technology solutions, including contract management systems, e-billing software, and document management tools, to improve workflow.
- Analyze and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to legal operations, providing insights to senior management for decision-making.
- Develop and maintain legal policies and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and effectively communicated across the organization.
- Provide training and support to legal team members on best practices, tools, and processes to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Act as a liaison between the legal department and other business units, facilitating communication and collaboration on legal matters.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in legal operations, bringing innovative ideas to the team.
- Assist in the development and execution of legal projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a law degree or paralegal certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in legal operations, project management, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of legal processes and the ability to identify areas for improvement.
- Proven experience in managing budgets and vendor relationships within a legal context.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
- Proficient in legal technology tools, including contract management and e-billing software.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
