What you'll do

• Oversee the planning and logistics of clinical supplies, ensuring that all materials are available for clinical trials in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with clinical operations, regulatory affairs, and manufacturing teams to forecast supply needs based on trial designs and timelines.
• Manage inventory levels of clinical supplies, including raw materials and finished products, to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
• Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to procure clinical materials, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and quality requirements.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation related to supply chain activities, including shipping records, inventory reports, and compliance documentation.
• Implement and optimize processes for the storage and distribution of clinical supplies, ensuring adherence to Good Distribution Practices (GDP).
• Participate in risk management activities by identifying potential supply chain disruptions and developing contingency plans.
• Support audits and inspections by providing necessary documentation and evidence of compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with the clinical trial management team to ensure alignment on supply needs and timelines, facilitating effective communication across departments.
• Analyze supply chain performance metrics and provide recommendations for improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Assist in the development of budgets related to clinical supplies and logistics, tracking expenditures against forecasts.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in clinical supply chain management to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, supply chain management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical supplies management or logistics within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial processes and regulatory requirements related to clinical supplies.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems and supply chain software.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with various stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Nice to have

• Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Distribution Practices (GDP).
• Familiarity with clinical trial management systems (CTMS) and electronic lab notebooks (ELN).
• Knowledge of import/export regulations and logistics management.
• Previous experience in a start-up or rapidly growing company environment.
• Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS, ISM) is a plus.
