Product Manager, Terminal Device Expansion
Job description
About the role
You will own the multi-year vision and roadmap for Stripe Terminal's device software platform in partnership with hardware engineering. You will translate business needs into measurable milestones for both the Terminal OS Platform Team and the Firmware team. You will partner with software and hardware experts to define and launch device software capabilities that differentiate Stripe in the market. You will deeply research user needs, competitive dynamics, and technology trends to shape an exceptional in-person commerce experience. You will use metrics and analytics to drive decisions and validate success across diverse user segments. You will balance trade-offs while securing alignment across engineering, partnerships, and leadership teams.

- Deeply research and understand the competitive landscape and translate that understanding into differentiating features for your product suite.
- Collaborate with the Partnerships team to develop a compelling roadmap for how we can extend Terminal growth via third-party hardware partnerships and clearly communicate the business value of these partnerships in the context of our wider Terminal Hardware roadmap to gain alignment across Terminal and Stripe leadership.
- Use metrics to inform your point of view and leverage analytics to measure success.
- Define product requirements, provide clear guidance on prioritization, and support decisions related to development sequencing. You will also participate in sprint planning rituals to deliver against those requirements and the overall roadmap.
- Leverage your technical knowledge and experience to help your team make technical trade off decisions.
- Translate complex user problems and market dynamics into a clear, motivating product vision that aligns stakeholders.
- Own the end-to-end delivery of device software initiatives from discovery through launch and post-launch optimization.
