Requirements

You have been a Staff, Principal, or Distinguished Engineer in previous roles, demonstrating deep technical leadership.

You have deep experience building custom solutions using big data and streaming technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Presto, Iceberg, and Airflow.

You have hands-on experience in building modern microservices architecture-based products that are scalable and resilient.

You have served as the technical lead for a team of engineers and can demonstrate broad technical leadership across multiple projects.

You have owned the technical roadmap for a business area, aligning technology strategy with business objectives and stakeholder needs.

You listen well and internalize the best ideas from all over the organization while also setting a clear vision that others are excited to follow.

You work well cross-functionally, earning the trust of colleagues at all levels and across all teams through collaboration and empathy.

You are often cited as the inspiration for engineers that join your teams, with senior engineers feeling they can continuously learn from you.
