Research Associate (Fixed-Term Contract)
We are seeking a Research Associate to join our integrated research team for a two-month fixed-term contract, with potential for extension. This role centers on a forward-looking industry initiative, providing hands-on experience in a domain of rising strategic importance. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary group, translating user needs into actionable insights that guide product and design decisions.
The position is based in Kyiv, Lviv, or Remote, with a gross monthly compensation of 35,000 UAH. The engagement spans two months and may be renewed within the framework of a fixed-term research stream.
Core Responsibilities
You will own the design and execution of a focused research stream that clarifies user intent around a specific industry theme. This involves drafting inquiry blueprints that align with stakeholder questions and project timelines. You will create interview guides, survey instruments, and testing scripts that support product discovery objectives.
A key part of the role is sourcing and recruiting participants, then moderating sessions that capture rich, qualitative insights. You will synthesize raw notes into clear narratives that highlight patterns, gaps, and opportunity spaces. These findings will be translated into recommendation decks and research summaries tailored for diverse stakeholders.
You will coordinate with engineering teams on UAT scenarios to validate behavioral assumptions in live flows. Collaboration with analytics and quantitative teams will ensure data evidence is woven into research narratives. You will also ship research artifacts on schedule so that product and design teams can act on timely inputs.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline such as Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, Human Factors, Sociology, Marketing, or a related field. You should bring a minimum of three years of professional experience as a User Experience Researcher across varied contexts.
Demonstrated fluency in qualitative methods is essential, including user interviews, usability tests, surveys, lab studies, diary studies, and desirability studies. You must manage full research cycles, from study design and participant recruiting through moderation, analysis, and reporting.
Clear written and verbal communication skills are required for interacting with leadership and specialists across all levels. You should be highly organized, able to balance multiple priorities, and maintain meticulous attention to detail. Proficiency in English at an Upper-Intermediate level, both spoken and written, is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in quantitative data analysis and the interpretation of statistical outcomes is valued. A PhD in a relevant discipline such as Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, Human Factors, Sociology, or a related field is an asset.
You should maintain a portfolio that showcases past deliverables, such as study plans, reports, and other research artifacts. Prior experience with survey platforms like Qualtrics or Survey Monkey is beneficial. Familiarity with remote user testing tools, including usertesting.com, Dscout, Maze, or User Zoom, is also advantageous.
