What you'll do
- Lead and mentor autonomous development teams, ensuring they perform at their best and align with the strategic goals of the organization.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among product management, quality assurance, and business stakeholders to ensure projects are executed efficiently and effectively.
- Establish and track service level agreements (SLA), service level objectives (SLO), and service level indicators (SLI) to ensure that business needs are met consistently.
- Collaborate with system architects to design scalable, secure, and maintainable architectures that support the company's growth and operational needs.
- Supervise code review processes and quality assurance activities to guarantee the reliability and accessibility of software products.
- Work closely with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to oversee infrastructure capacity and enhance system resilience.
- Identify inefficiencies and obstacles within the development process, implementing solutions to boost team productivity and overall system performance.
- Create and maintain documentation for operational processes and system guidelines, empowering teams to work independently and effectively.
- Serve as a cultural ambassador within the organization, promoting an inclusive and productive work environment for all team members.
- Analyze development workflows to uncover bottlenecks and implement corrective actions that improve throughput and quality.
- Partner with security teams to ensure that all implementations adhere to established compliance and data protection standards.
- Guide the selection and adoption of tools that improve the efficiency of the development lifecycle.
- Monitor team health and engagement, providing support and adjustments to maintain high levels of motivation and productivity.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and frameworks, determining their relevance and potential integration into existing architectures.
Requirements
- Hold a minimum of 7 years of professional experience in software development, showcasing a strong technical foundation across multiple domains.
- Accumulate at least 1-2 years of experience in a leadership or mentoring role, demonstrating the ability to guide and inspire teams effectively.
- Exhibit strong proficiency in programming languages and frameworks such as .NET, Java, TypeScript, React, React Native, and Node.js.
- Possess solid experience working with microservices, containerized environments, and RESTful APIs, ensuring a modern approach to software architecture.
- Demonstrate familiarity with secure coding practices, including Static Application Security Testing (SAST), Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), and Mobile Application Security Testing (MAST).
- Maintain a deep understanding of software design principles, including SOLID principles, established design patterns, and recognized architectural standards.
- Have experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, including MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and MySQL, to manage data effectively and efficiently.
- Show knowledge of testing methodologies such as Test-Driven Development (TDD), Acceptance Test-Driven Development (ATDD), and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
- Prove an ability to manage risks and dependencies in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment without compromising quality.
- Demonstrate a commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code that supports long-term product stability.
- Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to debug complex issues across distributed systems.
- Show effective communication skills necessary for coordinating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures while promoting a culture of compliance and ethical conduct.
- Display adaptability in responding to changing priorities and requirements in a fast-moving environment.

Practical notes
This is a full-time position based in Monterrey, México. The selected candidate is expected to work on-site unless otherwise specified in company policy. No travel is required for this role.
