We are looking for a mid-level attorney to manage non-U.S. regulatory litigation and government enforcement matters. This position requires a professional who thrives in a flat, hands-on environment and communicates technical legal information clearly. You will own the strategic and tactical response to regulatory investigations and enforcement actions initiated by authorities located outside the United States. You will act as the primary legal liaison between our engineering and product teams and international government agencies. You will ensure that all regulatory interactions are navigated with precision, professionalism, and strict adherence to legal obligations. You will translate complex AI regulatory frameworks into actionable steps for the business while mitigating legal risk. What you'll do

• Lead end-to-end management of global regulatory investigations and government enforcement matters originating outside the United States.
• Draft, review, and negotiate all communications, pleadings, submissions, and official responses directed to international regulators.
• Conduct detailed analysis of foreign regulatory landscapes to identify potential impacts on company operations and strategy.
• Coordinate closely with internal business units to gather facts, clarify technical details, and resolve inquiries promptly.
• Serve as the principal point of contact for government agencies across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring consistent and accurate messaging.
• Monitor and report on the status of active regulatory matters, escalating risks and proposing mitigation strategies in a timely manner.
• Supervise and optimize the spend associated with external legal counsel and related service providers to ensure value and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain structured workflows and documentation standards for regulatory inquiry management and case tracking.
• Advise cross-functional teams on compliance requirements related to social media and AI technologies where applicable.
• Implement best practices for prioritizing and managing multiple high-stakes regulatory matters concurrently.

Requirements

• Hold a law degree from an accredited institution.
• Possess a minimum of 5 to 9 years of post-qualified professional experience.
• Demonstrate significant background in litigation or contentious regulatory matters.
• Show a proven track record of high-level performance and professional excellence in complex legal environments.
• Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills essential for conveying technical legal information clearly.
• Have the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a flat, fast-paced, and hands-on organizational structure.
• Maintain sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive regulatory and strategic information.
• Be willing to travel as required by business and regulatory needs within the jurisdictions you support.
