What you'll do

• Lead and manage a talented team of software engineers, guiding them through the entire software development lifecycle for the Build Reliability roadmap.
• Architect and develop software solutions aimed at enhancing quality control in manufacturing processes and facilitating the introduction of new products.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver dependable technical solutions that meet operational needs.
• Analyze application performance and usage metrics to inform future enhancements and feature development.
• Prioritize multiple projects effectively while ensuring adherence to high technical standards and best practices.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure that software meets stringent reliability and performance criteria.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to keep our software solutions innovative and competitive.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or mathematics, along with at least 5 years of professional software development experience, or 7 years of relevant experience without a formal degree.
• Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as required by project demands.
• Willingness to travel occasionally, up to 10% of the time, for project-related activities.
• Must comply with ITAR regulations, which necessitates U.S. citizenship, national status, lawful permanent residency, refugee status, or asylee status.

Nice to have

• Experience in mentoring and developing junior staff members to enhance team capabilities.
• A solid background in designing scalable software architectures to support growth and performance.
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages, including Python, C#, .NET, Go, or Java.
• Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks, such as React or Angular, to build interactive user interfaces.
• Experience with relational database management systems like PostgreSQL or SQL Server for data storage and retrieval.
• Knowledge of system testing methodologies, infrastructure management, and performance profiling techniques.

Skills & tools

• Proficient in object-oriented programming principles and practices.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Expertise in full stack development, encompassing both front-end and back-end technologies.
• Experience in software architecture design and implementation.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team toward achieving common goals.

Practical notes

• The salary range for this position is between $160,000.00 and $225,000.00 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
• In addition to the base salary, compensation may include stock options, long-term incentives, and discretionary bonuses based on performance.
