What you'll do

• Manage and coordinate various construction projects and maintenance tasks, ensuring that all vendors comply with both company standards and regulatory requirements regarding materials, services, and workmanship.
• Act as the main point of contact between tradespeople, contractors, and building officials for all maintenance, repair, and equipment installation activities.
• Supervise repair work across multiple systems, including HVAC, electrical, fire protection, plumbing, and water systems.
• Direct on-site construction efforts to ensure minimal disruption to ongoing operations while prioritizing safety.
• Assist the engineering team with budget evaluations, design drawings, and project reviews to ensure that timelines and budget constraints are met.
• Keep precise daily logs, progress reports, and financial records to track project status and expenditures.
• Collaborate with various teams to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards throughout all phases of construction and maintenance activities.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent certification is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience working with HVAC, pneumatic, mechanical, or electrical systems is essential.
• Must be capable of working at elevated heights and lifting materials weighing up to 25 lbs.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, or rain.
• Ability to work in environments that may have fumes, odors, and elevated noise levels.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed based on operational demands.
• A valid driver's license is necessary.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to support projects at different locations is required.

Nice to have

• A degree or certification in HVAC technology from an accredited technical institution or college is preferred.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems, electrical safety protocols, pneumatic principles, and mechanical components such as pumps and air compressors is advantageous.
• Hands-on experience with chiller plants, direct outside air supply (DoAS) systems, and air recirculating units (ARUs) in either industrial or commercial environments is a plus.
• The ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams and architectural blueprints is beneficial.
• Knowledge of best practices in building management and construction processes is desirable.
• Previous experience with project management and scheduling software is a plus.
• Basic skills in AutoCAD or Revit would be advantageous.
• Experience in managing large-scale construction projects, including estimating costs, controlling budgets, scheduling, and overseeing contractors, is preferred.
• Strong ability to read, review, and approve shop drawings, fabrication drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• Adaptability to quickly shift roles and responsibilities in a dynamic work environment is important.
• A strong independent work ethic, complemented by effective teamwork and communication skills, is essential.
• Background in manufacturing facilities is a plus.
