As a Senior Product Marketing Manager at Sourcegraph, you will be instrumental in crafting the narrative and enhancing the visibility of our core engineering infrastructure. Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, you will work closely with both technical teams and go-to-market professionals to establish Sourcegraph as a thought leader in the industry. Your efforts will significantly impact developers and engineering leaders at prominent organizations, aiding them in elevating code quality and adapting to emerging technologies.

- Craft and articulate engaging narratives that resonate with our technical audience, ensuring clarity and relevance.
- Spearhead product launches, ensuring they align seamlessly with both sales and marketing strategies.
- Develop comprehensive sales enablement resources that assist in advancing enterprise deals effectively.
- Partner with Demand Generation and Developer Relations teams to execute impactful marketing initiatives.
- Gather and analyze customer feedback to refine messaging and guide product development.
- Establish a consistent collaboration rhythm with cross-functional teams to boost the effectiveness of product marketing efforts.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions and positioning.
- Create and manage content for various platforms, including blogs, whitepapers, and case studies, to enhance brand visibility.
- Facilitate training sessions for sales teams to ensure they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and tools.
- Collaborate with product management to ensure alignment on product features and benefits that meet customer needs.
- data analytics to measure the success of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Foster relationships with industry influencers and thought leaders to amplify Sourcegraph's market presence.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in product marketing, developer marketing, or similar technical marketing roles within a B2B enterprise environment.
- A solid understanding of developer tools and workflows, especially in the realm of AI-driven software development.
- Demonstrated success in managing technical product launches from concept through execution, including positioning and sales enablement.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams to communicate Sourcegraph's unique value proposition.
- Experience navigating complex sales processes and supporting enterprise sales efforts.
- Proven track record in creating effective marketing materials that drive sales success.
- Familiarity with integrated marketing campaigns that include webinars, videos, and live events.
- A customer-focused mindset, utilizing feedback to shape product messaging and strategy.
- Strong technical knowledge of contemporary software development practices.
- A proactive approach, with a focus on executing innovative ideas.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex information clearly.

Practical notes
This position is open to candidates globally, with a preference for those based in the western United States. Candidates should be available to work overlapping hours with the Pacific Time zone for a minimum of 25 hours each week.
Compensation
The anticipated salary for this role is determined by the IC4 pay band, which varies by geographic location. The starting salaries for each zone are as follows:
- Zone 1: $180,000
- Zone 2: $144,000
- Zone 3: $108,000
- Zone 4: $72,000
In addition to the base salary, we provide equity options and a comprehensive benefits package to support our employees.
Interview process
The interview process will consist of multiple stages, totaling approximately 4.75 hours. This includes initial conversations with a recruiter and hiring manager, followed by in-depth interviews with team members, and concludes with a final round that focuses on our company values and leadership principles.
