What you'll do
- Lead the IT department by developing and implementing strategic plans that align with Sohodragon's business objectives, ensuring that technology supports our growth and operational efficiency.
- Manage a diverse team of IT specialists, providing mentorship and guidance to foster professional development and enhance team performance.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and cloud services, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, safeguarding the organization against potential risks.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify technology needs and provide solutions that enhance productivity and streamline operations.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiating contracts and ensuring that service level agreements are met to maintain high-quality IT services.
- Monitor and analyze system performance metrics, using data-driven insights to make informed decisions about upgrades and improvements.
- Lead disaster recovery planning and business continuity initiatives, ensuring that Sohodragon can maintain operations in the event of a technology failure or other disruptions.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on the organization and implementing innovative solutions as appropriate.
- Prepare and manage the IT budget, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and effectively to meet departmental goals.
- Conduct regular training sessions for staff on new technologies and best practices, promoting a culture of continuous learning and adaptation.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all IT-related issues, providing timely support and resolution to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management or a similar role, with a proven track record of leading IT teams and projects.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud computing technologies.
- Experience with cybersecurity best practices and risk management strategies to protect organizational data and systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proven experience in budget management and resource allocation within an IT context.
- Familiarity with IT service management frameworks such as ITIL is preferred.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
