What you'll do

• Manage the entire closing process for home equity loans, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Review loan documents for accuracy and completeness, identifying any discrepancies that may need to be addressed before closing.
• Coordinate with internal teams, including underwriting and compliance, to facilitate the timely approval and closing of loans.
• Communicate effectively with borrowers, providing them with updates and answering any questions they may have throughout the closing process.
• Prepare and distribute closing disclosures and other necessary documentation to all parties involved in the transaction.
• Schedule closing appointments and ensure that all necessary parties are present and prepared for the closing meeting.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in loan closing or a related field, with a strong understanding of home equity loans.
• Proven track record of managing multiple transactions simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements related to home equity lending.
• Proficiency in using loan origination software and other relevant tools to manage the closing process.
