What you'll do

Designing ingestion pipelines that normalize telemetry and events from varied sources into clean internal streams.

Establishing build configuration using container images, remote caching, and orchestration patterns to speed execution.

Measuring dashboard metrics to shorten cycle time and make insight delivery faster for every team.

Guiding onboarding workflows so new engineers reach productive independence with minimal handholding.

Enabling cost awareness by aligning resource usage, scheduling, and queuing for efficient cloud operations.

Partnering with platform teams to align standards, surface shared needs, and keep internal tools coherent.

Automating test environments and sandboxes to validate changes before they touch critical paths.

Championing reliability practices that keep services available when developer demand peaks.

Requirements

You must understand cloud networking, security boundaries, storage layouts, and resilient patterns deeply.

You have implemented CI and CD systems that move software safely from commit to deployment.

You have written and maintained Terraform to provision infrastructure in a repeatable, auditable way.

You can build and verify services in Go, Python, or C++ across test suites and runtime scenarios.

You hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or bring comparable professional experience.

Practical notes

Compensation: At Skydio, our compensation packages for regular, full-time employees include competitive base salaries, equity in the form of stock options, and comprehensive benefits packages. Compensation will vary based on factors, including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. Relocation assistance may also be provided for eligible roles. The annual base salary range for this position is $170,000 - $240,000*.
