As a Deployment Strategist at SIFT, you will play a vital role at the intersection of technical implementation and customer success, ensuring that our platform delivers maximum value to sophisticated engineering organizations. Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with enterprise clients to understand their complex needs, design tailored solutions, and oversee the deployment process from start to finish. You will serve as a trusted advisor, guiding customers through technical challenges, demonstrating the platform's capabilities, and fostering long-term adoption. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and strong communication abilities to ensure successful integrations and satisfied customers.

What you'll do
- Lead the end-to-end execution of complex deployment projects for enterprise clients, ensuring timely and successful implementation.
- Collaborate with Forward Deployed Engineers to develop and refine technical solutions that align with customer requirements and operational goals.
- Establish and nurture trust with engineers, end-users, and executive stakeholders to facilitate smooth communication, remove roadblocks, and accelerate project progress.
- Drive platform adoption within customer organizations by demonstrating the value of the solution and creating clear, actionable implementation roadmaps.
- Work closely with the product team to gather feedback from deployments, inform future product enhancements, and ensure the platform evolves to meet customer needs.
- Design and run pilot programs that showcase the platform's capabilities, demonstrating significant value and setting the stage for long-term success.
- Act as a technical liaison, translating customer needs into technical specifications and guiding teams through complex integrations.
- Manage multiple deployment projects simultaneously, maintaining focus on quality, deadlines, and customer satisfaction.
- Facilitate effective communication between technical teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment on goals, timelines, and deliverables.
- Support customers during onboarding, providing expert guidance and troubleshooting to ensure smooth adoption.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and scalable deployment strategies to enhance efficiency and repeatability.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the platform's features, industry best practices, and emerging trends to provide strategic insights to clients and internal teams.
- Document deployment processes, best practices, and lessons learned to build a knowledge base for future projects.
- Assist in training customer teams on platform usage, best practices, and maintenance procedures.
- Monitor deployment progress and report on key metrics, ensuring transparency and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with sales and account teams to support customer onboarding and expansion efforts.
- Stay informed about industry developments, especially in aerospace, autonomous systems, and hardware domains, to better serve clients in those sectors.
- Travel as needed (10-15%) to customer sites for on-site deployment, training, or support activities.
Requirements
- Strong technical background with the ability to understand and work with complex systems and data architectures.
- Proven experience in driving the adoption of technical products within engineering organizations, particularly at the enterprise level.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of engaging with technical teams, executives, and end-users effectively.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple concurrent deployment projects while maintaining quality and deadlines.
- Clear, concise communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and vice versa.
- Experience working with enterprise clients, managing large-scale deployments, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, including AWS and GCP, and modern deployment practices such as Kubernetes.
- Ability to travel 10-15% as required, depending on customer needs and project locations.
- U.S. Person status in compliance with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and EAR (Export Administration Regulations).

- Background in aerospace, autonomous systems, or other hardware domains, providing industry-specific insights.
- Knowledge of data pipelines, streaming architectures, and real-time telemetry systems.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP, including deployment and management of cloud resources.
- Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages to understand and troubleshoot technical solutions.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, web technologies, and modern web application architectures.
- Understanding of time-series data and telemetry systems, especially in mission-critical environments.

Practical notes
The position is based in Marina Del Rey, CA, where SIFT's headquarters is located next to LAX. The role involves in-person collaboration four days a week, with the possibility of relocating candidates to Los Angeles or considering work from the San Francisco office for the right applicant. Candidates must be U.S. persons in compliance with ITAR regulations, including lawful permanent residents, protected individuals such as asylees or refugees, or U.S. citizens.
