This specific position serves as a Hivemind Field Solutions Engineer dedicated to the Americas region. The engineer will function as a customer-facing technical expert who translates complex mission needs into viable technical solutions. By working across multiple internal teams, this role ensures that customer interactions are supported by accurate and feasible engineering insights.
Key facts
What you'll do
1) Support technical sales and customer engagements for Hivemind across the entire Americas region on a consistent basis.
2) Translate high-level customer mission needs into credible, technically feasible, and mission-relevant solution proposals for review.
3) Partner closely with Business Development, Product, and Customer Engagement teams to effectively shape and refine customer-facing demonstrations.
4) Collaborate with Engineering and Program teams to conduct detailed technical interchange meetings and capture activities.
5) Develop comprehensive white papers and customer-specific solution documents that accurately reflect the Hivemind capabilities.
6) Lead live demonstrations of Hivemind autonomy software alongside associated V-BAT and X-BAT aircraft systems.
7) Respond to formal RFIs and RFPs with accurate, detailed, and mission-relevant technical information for clients.
8) Feed valuable customer insights back into product and engineering development cycles to drive continuous improvement.
9) Ensure all proposed solutions align precisely with Shield AI's technical roadmap and existing product architecture.
10) Act as a force multiplier connecting the technical team directly to external customer stakeholders.
11) Shape demo scenarios around specific mission objectives to effectively showcase the system capabilities.
12) Bridge the gap between complex technical features and practical field applications for defense customers.
13) Provide hands-on technical support during customer visits and site assessments to validate solution fit.
14) Coordinate with cross-functional teams to address customer technical inquiries and resolve complex system questions.
Requirements
1) Possess a strong technical foundation in autonomy, mission software, simulation, and AI-enabled systems.
2) Bring direct experience with Department of War simulation environments and their associated testing ecosystems.
3) Demonstrate hands-on expertise in live-virtual-constructive training and test environments for defense applications.
4) Have substantial working knowledge of synthetic environments and advanced image-generation system workflows.
5) Understand synthetic data workflows and their critical application within modern defense scenarios.
6) Comfortably explain complex technical systems clearly to diverse customer audiences without using jargon.
7) Effectively shape demonstrations around mission objectives to meet specific customer expectations and needs.
8) Support capture activities and technical interchange meetings with government and industry stakeholders.
9) Navigate the full lifecycle of RFI and RFP response processes with high accuracy.
10) Maintain a strong foundation in AI-enabled systems and software engineering principles.
11) Exhibit the ability to manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.
12) Apply a deep understanding of mission software to solve real-world customer challenges.
Nice to have
1) Familiarity with Aechelon simulation and synthetic reality technologies is highly beneficial for this role.
2) Prior experience with X-BAT aircraft platforms and related hardware systems in the field.
3) Background in global operations across Europe, Middle East, or Asia-Pacific regions and markets.
4) Exposure to venture-backed defense technology companies and fast-paced development environments is preferred.
5) Experience with Hivemind autonomy software beyond standard customer support and basic troubleshooting functions.
6) Knowledge of image-generation systems and synthetic data workflows used in training simulations.
