What you'll do

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions on cloud platforms, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Collaborate with development teams to automate deployment processes, enabling continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, implementing proactive measures to enhance system reliability and availability.
• Develop and maintain configuration management systems to automate the provisioning and management of infrastructure resources.
• Implement security best practices across the DevOps lifecycle, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team.
• Work closely with product management and engineering teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Evaluate and integrate new tools and technologies that can enhance our DevOps practices and improve overall efficiency.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and capacity planning to ensure that infrastructure can handle expected growth and demand.
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide support and ensure the reliability of production systems.
• Document processes, architectures, and workflows to maintain clear communication and knowledge transfer within the team.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to improve our DevOps practices.

Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in DevOps or related fields, with a strong focus on cloud technologies.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby, with a solid understanding of automation tools.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including services such as EC2, S3, and Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI, with experience in building and maintaining pipelines.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies, particularly Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, security protocols, and best practices in cloud environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
• Previous experience in a security-focused role or with security tools and practices.
• Certifications in relevant technologies or methodologies (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes Certified Administrator).
