Scribe is seeking a highly experienced Lead Technical Recruiter to oversee the full-cycle hiring process across Engineering, Product, and Design teams. This role involves partnering closely with hiring managers to develop effective sourcing strategies, build strong candidate pipelines, and ensure the hiring of top-tier talent that aligns with the company's high standards. The successful candidate will take ownership of each recruitment process from sourcing to closing, contributing significantly to Scribe's growth and success. Key facts
What you'll do
- Manage the entire recruitment lifecycle for Engineering, Product, and Design roles across various levels, including some positions that Scribe has not previously hired for, ensuring a seamless process from sourcing to onboarding.
- Partner closely with hiring managers to understand role requirements, build detailed role scorecards, and calibrate on what constitutes a top candidate, ensuring alignment on expectations and standards.
- Develop and implement multi-channel sourcing strategies, including market mapping, talent mapping, and competitive analysis, to identify and attract passive candidates and build a robust talent pipeline.
- Track pipeline data meticulously, analyze trends, identify bottlenecks early, and provide actionable recommendations to improve recruitment efficiency and candidate quality.
- Actively sell candidates on Scribe's vision, product, and growth opportunities, highlighting the company's trajectory, AI capabilities, and the benefits of joining now.
- Communicate proactively and transparently with both hiring teams and candidates, providing regular updates, flagging changes or delays, and ensuring a positive experience throughout the process.
- Build and nurture passive talent pools through strategic outreach, market research, and relationship management, ensuring a steady flow of qualified candidates for current and future openings.
- Use data and analytics to inform sourcing decisions, improve recruitment strategies, and optimize the candidate experience.
- Maintain a high level of candidate engagement, ensuring a positive impression of Scribe and fostering a strong employer brand.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand evolving hiring needs, market trends, and competitive landscape, adjusting sourcing and recruitment tactics accordingly.
- Stay informed about trends in AI, SaaS, and the broader tech industry to effectively communicate Scribe's value proposition and market position to potential candidates.
- Lead efforts to improve recruitment processes and candidate experience, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the talent acquisition team.
- Support diversity and inclusion initiatives by ensuring equitable sourcing practices and fostering an inclusive hiring process.
- Participate in employer branding activities and represent Scribe at industry events or recruiting forums when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate records of all recruitment activities, candidate interactions, and pipeline data within ATS and sourcing tools.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and company policies during the hiring process.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior recruiters or team members, sharing best practices and insights.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with a strong focus on technical roles such as engineering, product, and design.
- Proven success working in fast-growing SaaS startups, especially during periods of significant headcount or revenue scaling.
- Demonstrated ability to develop sourcing strategies from scratch and consistently land strong passive technical talent.
- Experience closing EPD (Engineering, Product, Design) candidates, with a clear understanding of how to assess and differentiate top talent in these areas.
- Proficiency with sourcing tools such as Ashby and Juicebox, and familiarity with data-driven decision-making in recruitment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively sell the company and role to candidates and maintain transparent communication with hiring teams.
- Experience working in high-growth environments, managing multiple requisitions simultaneously, and prioritizing effectively.
- Knowledge of the tech industry, especially in AI and SaaS markets, and an understanding of current talent trends.
- Ability to analyze pipeline data, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve recruitment outcomes.
- Passion for building diverse and inclusive teams, and experience implementing inclusive hiring practices.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- High level of organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with ATS systems and sourcing tools, and comfort using data to drive recruitment decisions.
Nice to have
- Experience working at a Series B or C tech company during a scale-up phase, with understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities involved.
- Familiarity with recruiting for AI-focused or developer-centric products, understanding the technical landscape and candidate expectations.
- Knowledge of employer branding strategies and experience representing a company at industry events or recruiting forums.
- Experience with diversity hiring initiatives and creating inclusive sourcing strategies.
- Understanding of the latest trends in talent acquisition, especially within the AI and SaaS sectors, and how to leverage new tools and platforms for sourcing.
