What you'll do
- Lead the development and implementation of quality assurance protocols for data operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to identify areas for improvement in data collection and processing methodologies.
- Conduct regular audits of data quality, providing actionable insights and recommendations for enhancements.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to data quality processes, including guidelines, procedures, and best practices.
- Train and mentor team members on data quality standards and practices, fostering a culture of quality within the organization.
- Work closely with product teams to ensure that data requirements are met during the development of new features and functionalities.
- Analyze data discrepancies and work with stakeholders to resolve issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to data quality and report findings to senior management, driving accountability and transparency.
- Participate in cross-departmental projects aimed at improving overall data governance and quality management.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in data quality management, integrating new techniques and tools as appropriate.
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams to ensure a shared understanding of data quality objectives.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Scandit's data operations by identifying innovative solutions and technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in data quality management or a related field.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing data quality frameworks and processes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with data management tools and technologies, such as SQL, Python, or data visualization software.
- Familiarity with data governance principles and best practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in the retail or technology sectors is a plus.
Nice to have
- Certification in data quality management or related fields.
- Experience with machine learning or AI technologies in data processing.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance related to data management, such as GDPR.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools.
- Previous experience in a leadership or mentoring role.
