About the role

You will act as the primary technical consultant for C-level executives and technical stakeholders during the earliest phases of customer engagement. You will own the design of secure, sustainable, and future-proof cloud architectures on the Scaleway platform. This role requires you to translate complex business requirements into clear technical narratives that drive decision-making. You will partner closely with sales teams to de-risk migration projects and accelerate opportunity progression. You will evangelize the benefits of sovereign cloud to differentiate Scaleway from competing hyperscalers. Ultimately, you will be responsible for ensuring that technical due diligence results in confident and profitable customer wins.

What you'll do

Perform in-depth technical discovery sessions to map customer business objectives to Scaleway product capabilities.

Architect end-to-end cloud infrastructures that balance performance, security, compliance, and cost constraints.

Lead migration feasibility studies and identify technical blockers before contract finalization.

Translate complex customer requirements into clear product recommendations and commercial justifications.

Conduct technical workshops and proof-of-concept sessions to validate architecture hypotheses.

Collaborate with Sales Directors to build compelling technical narratives for high-stakes tenders.

Serve as the definitive technical authority for Scaleway products during competitive procurement processes.

Partner with Customer Success to ensure smooth onboarding and early adoption of deployed solutions.

Identify cross-selling opportunities for additional Scaleway services through usage pattern analysis.

Represent Scaleway at industry events and technical forums to strengthen employer branding.

Champion architectural best practices that reinforce Scaleway's commitment to sustainability and performance.

Document customer use cases to inform product roadmap feedback and future sales collateral.

Engage with technical communities to maintain awareness of emerging cloud and AI trends.

Support the creation of reusable sales tools that simplify complex technical concepts for buyers.

Act as a trusted advisor who balances idealistic architecture with pragmatic delivery constraints.

Requirements

You possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related technical field.

You hold current hands-on experience designing cloud infrastructures on major public platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

You have a proven track record in Linux system administration, including performance tuning, security hardening, and troubleshooting.

You demonstrate advanced knowledge of container orchestration platforms, particularly Kubernetes, and their operational lifecycle.

You are proficient in Infrastructure as Code methodologies and have used tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar frameworks.

You hold professional fluency in English, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with international stakeholders.

You have direct experience in technical sales, pre-sales engineering, or solutions architecture within the cloud sector.

You possess strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems under tight sales cycle pressures.

Nice to have

Experience with hybrid cloud and multi-cloud architectures in regulated industries.

Knowledge of AI and machine learning workloads and their infrastructure requirements.

Familiarity with open-source ecosystems and collaborative development workflows.
