Staff Product Manager, Identity Threat Detection & Response

About the role

You will own the strategic vision and end-to-end product roadmap for Identity Threat Detection and Response at Saviynt, shaping how the platform detects and neutralizes identity-based attacks. You will architect the ITDR capabilities that unify identity governance, behavioral analytics, and automated response into a cohesive defense layer across the enterprise identity fabric. In this role, you will translate the complexity of identity-centric threats into clear product strategies that empower security teams to protect human, non-human, and AI identities effectively. You will act as the bridge between deep security practitioner needs and innovative product solutions, ensuring that detection logic and response workflows address real-world SOC challenges. You will leverage AI-native approaches to anticipate evolving attack patterns and harden the security posture of critical global enterprises. You will collaborate closely with engineering, sales, and marketing teams to ensure go-to-market readiness and successful market adoption of ITDR offerings. Through these efforts, you will establish Saviynt as the definitive leader in identity threat detection and response.

What you'll do

Define and execute the end-to-end product strategy for ITDR, balancing innovation in detection algorithms with practical response automation and evolving threat intelligence.

Architect the core ITDR pillars, including real-time detection engineering, behavioral analytics, and seamless integration with SIEM and SOAR ecosystems.

Develop advanced detection logic tailored to identity-centric attacks such as privilege escalation, lateral movement, and credential abuse using AI-native capabilities.

Partner closely with security practitioners to uncover critical challenges in detection engineering and incident response, transforming their feedback into actionable product improvements.

Champion product quality and user experience, ensuring that ITDR features are intuitive, reliable, and delivered on schedule to meet stringent security demands.

Establish strategic relationships with key design partners, acting as their voice in the product journey to influence roadmap decisions and prioritization.

Lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering, sales, and marketing teams to align on messaging, positioning, and go-to-market readiness for ITDR solutions.

Drive market penetration by identifying opportunities in identity security, refining value propositions, and validating product-market fit within Fortune 500 and regulated sectors.

Maintain rigorous accountability for product outcomes, monitoring success metrics, and iterating based on data-driven insights and customer feedback.

Anticipate future identity threat trends, ensuring that Saviynt's ITDR capabilities remain at the forefront of cybersecurity innovation and compliance expectations.

Requirements

Hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field that provides a strong foundation in computational principles.

Bring 12-15 years of cumulative Product Management experience, with a demonstrated history of delivering complex cybersecurity products in fast-paced environments.

Possess deep cybersecurity expertise, including thorough knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework, leading compliance frameworks, and identity-based threat vectors.

Show mastery of SOC operations and understand how identity threats manifest within real-world security operations and incident response processes.

Have extensive experience with agile development methodologies and proven product management frameworks that guide discovery, delivery, and iteration.

Demonstrate strong analytical and design skills, enabling data-backed decision-making while incorporating UX/UI best practices into security product experiences.

Operate effectively in a global context, communicating and leading across multiple time zones with diverse stakeholders and cross-functional partners.

Maintain flexibility and professionalism when engaging with enterprise customers, executives, and technical teams around the world.

Nice to have

Possess deep domain expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM), Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), Privileged Access Management (PAM), or Identity Security Posture Management (ISPM).

Have hands-on familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and experience deploying solutions on at least one major cloud provider such as AWS, Microsoft Entra, or Google Cloud Platform.

The role is based in San Francisco and requires full-time engagement during standard business hours.
