The Consumer Growth team manages the full user lifecycle, focusing on platform adoption and engagement through high-quality system architecture. What you'll do
- Design and maintain services for payment processing, identity verification, and loyalty features, ensuring high availability and data integrity.
- Lead technical strategy for projects involving multiple teams, including documentation and design reviews to align on architecture and interfaces.
- Improve system quality by implementing rigorous testing, safe rollouts, and reducing technical debt through refactoring and automation.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on event-driven patterns and operational standards, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
- Own the full development lifecycle from API design to production monitoring, collaborating with product and operations teams.
- Implement robust solutions using Java and Spring Boot, leveraging object-oriented design to create clean and maintainable code.
- Integrate services with AWS components such as EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, and Kinesis to build scalable and resilient infrastructure.
- Work with PostgreSQL and ElasticSearch to optimize data storage, retrieval, and search capabilities for high-throughput scenarios.
- Ensure compliance with security best practices and operational runbooks to maintain stability in a financial environment.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of deployment pipelines and observability tooling to support faster and safer releases.
Requirements
- Hold a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in backend software engineering, with a proven track record of delivering production systems.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, including a deep understanding of the framework's core components and ecosystem.
- Bring practical experience with microservices and cloud infrastructure, specifically within an AWS environment.
- Show the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders, bridging the gap between technical and non-technical teams.
- Be fluent in English, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with colleagues and partners.
- Have a strong sense of ownership and accountability for the systems you build and the outcomes they enable.
- Exhibit problem-solving skills that combine technical depth with pragmatic decision-making under constraints.
- Commit to following coding standards, conducting thorough testing, and participating in code reviews to maintain high quality.
