Key facts

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain user interfaces, APIs, and critical platform components primarily using Python and Typescript, ensuring they are , scalable, and user-friendly.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of our open-source SDK, making it accessible and easy to use for developers integrating with RunPod's services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including AI researchers, backend engineers, and frontend developers to design, implement, and improve new features that enhance user experience and platform capabilities.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, following best practices for testing, code reviews, and continuous integration to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Participate actively in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and mentorship to junior team members to foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
• Assist in deploying, scaling, and maintaining infrastructure components, ensuring high availability and performance of the platform.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs or performance issues promptly, maintaining a reliable and stable platform for users.
• Contribute to technical documentation, user guides, and internal knowledge sharing to support team members and external developers.
• Engage in team planning sessions, stand-ups, and retrospectives to align project goals and improve development processes.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in full-stack development, cloud infrastructure, and AI technology to continuously enhance your skills and contribute innovative ideas.

Requirements

• Some experience with Python and/or Typescript, with a strong desire to develop full-stack capabilities. Familiarity with other strongly typed languages like Go Lang is a plus.
• Solid understanding of frontend technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks such as React.
• Experience with backend frameworks such as Express, FastAPI, or Pydantic, or similar technologies.
• Demonstrated interest in open-source projects, with a history of contributing to or maintaining open-source codebases being highly advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and solving complex technical challenges.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of clearly articulating technical concepts to team members and stakeholders with varying levels of technical knowledge.
• Ability to pass a background check as part of the hiring process.
• Willingness to work on-site at our office location in the USA, with a commitment to collaborative team efforts.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities effectively.
• Basic understanding of cloud infrastructure, distributed computing, or containerization technologies is beneficial but not mandatory.

Nice to have

• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, especially in deploying and managing scalable infrastructure.
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration systems such as Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of modern development practices including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps principles.
• Relevant coursework, projects, or professional experience demonstrating full-stack development skills.
• Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git, and collaborative development workflows.
• Exposure to AI and machine learning workflows, including model deployment and management, is a plus but not required.

• The salary range for this position is $130,000 to $200,000, with actual compensation determined by experience, skills, and qualifications.
