What you'll do

• Design and implement scalable and robust full-stack solutions that enhance social interactions on the Roblox platform.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and refine product requirements and specifications.
• Develop and maintain high-quality code for both front-end and back-end systems, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
• Utilize modern web technologies and frameworks to create interactive and engaging user interfaces.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members, promoting best practices in software development.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring timely delivery of features and enhancements.
• Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure alignment and progress.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in full-stack software development, with a strong focus on both front-end and back-end technologies.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python, along with experience in frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Solid understanding of server-side technologies, including Node.js, Express, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases, such as MySQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with cloud services and deployment strategies, particularly AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in game development or familiarity with gaming platforms and communities.
• Knowledge of real-time communication technologies, such as WebSockets or Firebase.
• Previous work experience in a startup or high-growth environment.
• Understanding of user experience (UX) design principles and practices.
