About the role

What you'll do
- Utilize AI tools to analyze problem areas, uncover edge cases, validate concepts, and create initial prototypes while ensuring clarity and quality in design intent.
- Take ownership of the entire design process for significant features across various products, from conception to execution.
- Develop visually compelling and cohesive designs that enhance the overall user experience.
- Collaborate closely with teams in Product Management, Engineering, Content Design, and User Research to ensure alignment and effectiveness.
- Continuously improve and uphold the company's design system, ensuring it evolves to meet user needs and business goals.
- Set high standards for design quality and product excellence throughout the organization, mentoring junior designers as needed.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights that inform design decisions and validate design hypotheses.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure that Robinhood remains at the forefront of design innovation.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in product design, with a portfolio that showcases strong visual design capabilities.
- Proven experience in designing consumer-focused products, ideally within the fintech sector or similar industries.
- Demonstrated ability to guide products from the initial concept phase through to successful launch.
- Active engagement with AI and large language models (LLMs) in your design workflow to enhance creativity and efficiency.
- Strong systems thinking skills, with the ability to create and manage scalable design systems that can adapt to evolving product needs.
- Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
