Role Description
The Hardware Engineer, Power Management role focuses on developing the energy infrastructure for Rivet devices. You will design DC-DC converters, integrate battery management systems, and refine power delivery mechanisms. The work must satisfy rigorous safety and certification standards. Your contributions will ensure that Rivet platforms remain reliable, efficient, and capable during critical operations.
Responsibilities
You will create power systems that are safe, efficient, and capable of scaling. These systems must function reliably in harsh and isolated conditions. You will deliver hardware that meets strict performance and certification requirements. You will also support product integration and manufacturing processes.
Role Requirements
You must hold a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering from an accredited institution. You must demonstrate strong fundamentals in electrical engineering, including power management, DC-DC design, low-noise DC-DC topologies, battery systems, and battery management practices. You must have 0-3 years of experience in hardware design, bring-up, validation, and debugging using electrical test equipment. You should possess 1-3 years of experience designing hardware for high-volume products with strict form factor and integration requirements.
You must be skilled in schematic capture and PCB layout using Cadence or comparable tools. You must be capable of leading power hardware design initiatives in a technical role. You must manage projects with a high degree of independence. You must show initiative when facing new challenges and a commitment to ongoing skill development. You must be a US Person (citizen or permanent resident), and this status must be verified after hire.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary for this role may vary within the posted range based on relevant experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for equity and other forms of compensation. Eligible employees also receive a competitive benefits package, including unlimited PTO.

Requirements
