What you'll do
- Define and evolve Ripple's global office networking standards to promote continuous improvement, agile scalability, and a best-in-class end-user experience.
- Serve as the final technical point of contact for resolving critical issues in the global network infrastructure and unblock teams quickly.
- Grow the next generation of network operations at Ripple by developing best practices for automation, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Replace manual "copy-paste" configurations with cloud-managed deployment, reconciliation, and validation tooling to increase reliability and speed.
- Collaborate with the Information Security team to drive Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and strengthen security and compliance without degrading user experience.
- Manage the full lifecycle of multi-million dollar global hardware, from initial design and deployment through maintenance and eventual upgrades.
- Own Ripple's 99.9% network availability SLA by designing architectural changes that robustly meet this target and developing advanced observability to measure adherence.
- Manage relationships with ISPs, hardware vendors, and professional services providers while leading cross-functional projects to meet international deliverables.
- Provide senior-level technical guidance that aligns networking strategy with business objectives across offices and regions.
- Champion an end-user-experience-first mindset, ensuring that network decisions directly support productivity and real-world outcomes.
Requirements
- Demonstrate expert-level understanding of Arista EOS (CloudVision) and Aruba Central in previous roles.
- Bring deep experience with Palo Alto Networks platforms such as Panorama, GlobalProtect, and Prisma or equivalent enterprise security solutions.
- Show great understanding of cloud-based Radius/TACACS+ authentication and certificate management practices.
- Have a proven track record of managing large-scale, global infrastructure with a focus on reliability and uptime.
- Exhibit strong collaboration skills, working effectively with security, infrastructure, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Approach problem-solving with an eye toward automation, scalability, and continuous improvement.
- Commit to maintaining the highest standards of security and compliance while balancing usability.
